Dinamika Peer Group dan Penyimpangan Remaja di Kelurahan Oesapa: Sebuah Tinjauan Civic Morality

Maraknya perilaku menyimpang remaja di kawasan indekos Kelurahan Oesapa menjadi tantangan serius dalam pembentukan karakter warga negara muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika peer group dan faktor pendorong penyimpangan tersebut dalam perspektif civic morality. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan 8 orang informan yang terdiri dari remaja anggota peer group, warga, dan tokoh masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku menyimpang terbentuk melalui tiga tahap: eksternalisasi (penyesuaian diri), objektivasi (perilaku mulai dianggap wajar dalam kelompok), dan internalisasi (perilaku menjadi bagian dari identitas diri). Dinamika ini berdampak pada penurunan karakter remaja akibat kuatnya interaksi kelompok dan tekanan sosial yang mengabaikan norma kewargaan. Kesimpulannya, penyimpangan remaja di Oesapa merupakan hasil dari proses belajar sosial dalam lingkungan pergaulan yang minim kontrol. Sebagai aksi nyata, diperlukan penerapan community-based civic education (pendidikan kewarganegaraan berbasis komunitas) yang mensinergikan keluarga, warga sekitar, dan aparat wilayah untuk menumbuhkan kembali nilai-nilai kewargaan dan mereduksi dampak negatif peer group.
