Correction and Retraction
Pedagogi : Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran takes its responsibility to maintain the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record very seriously. Changes to an article after it has been published online may only be made under the circumstances below, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Erratum. A notice of an error introduced by the journal during production (for example, typesetting or layout) that affects the publication record or the integrity of the article.
Corrigendum. A notice of an important error made by the authors that affects the publication record or the scientific integrity of the article, but does not invalidate its main conclusions. A corrigendum is requested by the authors and approved by the editor.
Expression of Concern. A notice issued by the editor when there are serious concerns about an article (for example, inconclusive evidence of misconduct or an ongoing investigation) while the matter is being resolved.
Retraction. A notice that an article should no longer be regarded as part of the scientific literature. An article is retracted when:
- there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, due to misconduct or honest error;
- the findings have been published previously elsewhere without proper citation, permission, or justification (redundant publication);
- the article contains plagiarism;
- the article reports unethical research.
Retracted articles are not removed from the journal website. The article remains available with a clear "Retracted" watermark, and a retraction notice stating the reason is published and linked to the original article.
Removal. In very limited cases, such as legal infringement or a serious risk to health, an article may be removed. The bibliographic metadata will remain, with a notice explaining the removal.
How to Request. Authors or readers who find an error in a published article should contact the editor through the journal contact page. Requests are assessed by the editorial board, and the outcome is published in the next available issue.
