Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest (such as the validity of research) may be influenced by a secondary interest (such as financial gain or personal relationships). Pedagogi : Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran requires all parties involved in the publication process to disclose any potential conflict of interest.

Authors. Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial relationships that could be perceived as influencing their work, including funding sources, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, grants, and personal or academic relationships. A conflict of interest statement must be included in the manuscript. If there is no conflict, authors should state: "The authors declare no conflict of interest."

Reviewers. Reviewers must decline to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, or content, such as a close collaboration, a competitive relationship, a supervisory relationship, or a financial interest. Reviewers must not use unpublished information from a manuscript for their own advantage.

Editors. Editors must not make decisions on manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial team are handled by another editor with no conflict, and the submitting editor is excluded from the review process and decision.

Funding. All sources of funding for the research must be acknowledged in the manuscript, and the role of the funder in the study design, data collection, analysis, and decision to publish must be stated.

Failure to disclose a conflict of interest may lead to rejection of the manuscript or, after publication, to a correction or retraction.
